The Kansas Paralegal Association is hosting a CLE Lunch-N-Learn through Zoom on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, from 12:00pm to 1:00pm CST.


TOPIC OVERVIEW: Our guest speakers Teri Herbstman Appel and Megan Usovsky with Robert Half Legal will be presenting on the topic of Unlocking Top Paralegal Compensation: Navigating Paralegal Salaries, Market Trends, and Career Growth in 2024


LEARNING OBJECTIVES/OVERVIEW: 

There is a Demand for Skilled Paralegal Talent. How to frame and pitch your experience and value is key to unlocking the best total compensation package possible at your current employer, or your next employer.

This presentation will give you insights into trends and skills that are most valuable to employers in 2024, along with the tools to have the difficult, but necessary, conversations with your leaders to gain a top tier total compensation package.


SPEAKER BIOS:

Teri Herbstman Appel is the Sr. Recruiting Manager and VP for Robert Half, the world’s first and largest specialized talent solution firm. In her role, she places top-tier legal talent within St. Louis and Kansas City area law firms and companies. With over a decade of industry experience with Robert Half, Teri has helped countless professionals find fulfilling career opportunities. She received her bachelor’s degree from Cornell University and her master’s degree in business administration from Loyola University in Chicago. In her spare time, Teri enjoys spending time with her husband and four children, serving on various philanthropic boards, cooking, and cheering on the Chicago Cubs.

Megan Usovsky is the Legal Practice director for Robert Half, the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm. For over seven years in her role, Megan has managed internal teams and provided legal staffing and consulting solutions for law firms and corporate legal departments throughout the Midwest. Before joining Robert Half, Megan practiced law as an attorney for over ten years with concentrations in family law, civil defense litigation and intellectual property. In addition to a Bachelor of Science degree in biology, Megan holds a Juris Doctor degree in law and a Master of Science degree in patent law. She is licensed to practice law in both the state of Missouri and in federal court before the United States Patent & Trademark Office.
