The Kansas Paralegal Association is hosting a CLE webinar through Zoom on Thursday, September 9, 2021 from 12pm to 1pm over using private investigators as experts in criminal cases.

TOPIC OVERVIEW: Our guest speakers, David Harger with Wise & Reber, L.C., will speaking of the role of private investigators in criminal cases. 

LEARNING OBJECTIVES: 

Thorough case development and investigation is of paramount importance to effective advocacy in criminal cases.  Private investigators offer a wealth of experience, insight, and expertise, and using investigators can help you avoid conflicts and ethical pitfalls.  As the workloads and backlog of cases facing criminal lawyers grow, learn how to work with investigators to maximize your effectiveness.

SPEAKER BIO: 

David N. Harger is a member of the McPherson firm of Wise & Reber, L.C.  He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Business Administration in 1991 and his law degree in 1994, both from the University of Kansas.  David recently served on the Supreme Court’s Pretrial Justice Task Force and is the current chair of the Criminal Law Section of the KBA.  His trial practice is primarily concentrated in criminal defense, commercial and financial litigation.
