The Kansas Paralegal Association is hosting a CLE webinar through Zoom on Thursday, April 29, 2021 from 12pm to 1pm over COVID-19 effects on general liability.
TOPIC OVERVIEW: Our guest speakers, Byron Bowles and Alan Fogleman of MVP Law, will be speaking over the general liabilities in the work place affected by COVID-19.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES: COVID-19 has brought many changes and challenges to our everyday life and businesses have had to change their standard operating procedures to protect employees and customers. In this presentation, MVP Law attorneys Byron Bowles & Alan Fogleman will discuss how the COVID-19 pandemic has affected general liability matters for business owners and employers. Attendees will learn more about OSHA reporting requirements in regards to COVID-19 in the workplace, what the general liability risks are for businesses due to exposure & transmission of COVID-19, and insurance coverage issues.
SPEAKER BIO:
Byron Bowles serves as the President and CEO of MVP Law and is a member of the firm’s civil litigation and insurance defense practice group. In additional to general liability matters, Mr. Bowles regularly handles cases involving retail liability, including the defense of restaurants, hotels and retailers for premises liability and wrongful death claims. Mr. Bowles regularly presents to clients and industry professionals in all areas of his practice, including general litigation topics, retail liability, trucking and commercial automobile litigation and bad faith insurance matters. Mr. Bowles is a member of many industry organizations including the National Restaurant and Retailers Defense Association, the Council on Litigation Management, the Defense Research Institute, Inc., and the Risk Insurance Management Society. Mr. Bowles has over 25 years of experience and has been with MVP Law for his entire career.
Alan Fogleman has been practicing law for the last 10 years. Prior to joining the team at MVP Law, Alan was a prosecutor who achieved the rank of Senior Assistant District Attorney. Having gained invaluable courtroom experience as a prosecutor, Alan joined MVP in 2017 and is a member of the civil litigation insurance defense group. In addition to general liability matters, Mr. Fogleman regularly handles trucking and commercial automobile liability defense for regional, national, and international logistics, transportation and delivery companies. Mr. Fogleman is often involved with retail liability, including the defense of restaurants, hotels and retailers for premises liability and wrongful death claims. Mr. Fogleman provides insight to clients and industry professionals in all areas of his practice on a regular basis through various seminars and presentations. Mr. Fogleman is a member of the Transportation Lawyers Association. He was also selected for inclusion on the Super Lawyers Rising Stars list for the Missouri/Kansas market the past 3 years.
