KPA Certification Study Group

KPA has formed a PACE and PCCE certification study group - FREE to all current KPA members! If you are considering sitting for PACE or PCCE this is a great opportunity for you to prepare in a virtual group setting.

Meetings

Location: Virtually through a webinar type meeting room.

Length of Study Group: A total of eight 1-hour sessions. It is anticipated the sessions will be recorded so any group member who may be unable to attend a session will be able to review the presentation and discussions and stay on track in their preparation.

Group Leaders: Janice Ayers, RP, Andrea Duncan, RP and Megan Barrett, RP

Study Materials

This group will utilize the PACE and PCCE study manuals, as well as flashcards, discussion forums, assignments, practice tests and more.

A private group page will also be available to study group members via the KPA website. This page will provide important resources such as relevant documents and study materials, a group chat forum, quizzes, assignments, and flashcards.

Schedule and Topics

Session 1 - Introductions, General Information, and Preliminary Practice Exam

Session 2 - Administration of Client Legal Matters; Wills, Estates & Trusts; and Real Estate Law

Session 3 - Development of Client Legal Matters; Torts; and Civil Procedure

Session 4 - Factual and Legal Research; Bankruptcy; and Family Law

Session 5 - Factual and Legal Writing; Contracts and Office Administration

Session 6 - Intellectual Property; and Business & Corporate Law

Session 7 - Ethics; Terminology; Technology; and Practice Exam

Session 8 - Criminal Law and Recap

It is anticipated that the study group will aide and encourage its members in preparing and finalizing their applications to sit for the exam in early to late February to coincide with the group members sitting for the exam shortly after Session 8.
